🚨 A state of emergency has been officially declared in New Jersey (NJ) and parts of New York City (NYC) due to multiple severe thunderstorm warnings, tornado watches, and escalating flash flood alerts.

According to the National Weather Service, a tornado warning was issued earlier today across several NJ counties including Bergen, Essex, and Monmouth. In addition, flash flood warnings are in effect for NYC, Philadelphia, and central NJ, with some areas expecting up to 4 inches of rainfall in just a few hours.
